Concealed Carry Pistol

Gunsite's new Concealed Carry Pistol was created to meet the needs of those requiring training with the popular pocket or concealed carry pistols.  This 2 day class will address carry methods, presentation from a purse, pocket, fanny pack or holster, and will explore the practical uses and limitations of these small pistols and revolvers. The class includes two live fire tactical simulators. This is not the class to qualify for a Concealed Carry Weapons Permit. See CCW below.

Cost: $571

Duration: 2 days

Prerequisite: None

Ammunition: 600 rounds of ball.

250 Defensive Pistol

Defensive Pistol is the cornerstone of Gunsite class offerings. This course will teach you to control your immediate environment. You’ll learn marksmanship, gun handling and combat mindset, the elements of the Combat Triad. Defensive Pistol will give you five solid days of range work, lectures and intense simulators (including low light). Through our systematic and dynamic methodology you will achieve competence and great new skills. You will emerge a stronger, more alert person, conditioned to respond instantly to any threat. You will be prepared to prevail in an armed encounter.

“A life changing experience” is the way many students describe this class. You will no longer be “afraid of the dark”, or anything in it.

Skill at arms is highly perishable and recurrent training is a must for the responsible citizen. Should you ever be involved in a life or death situation, the justice system will first question your training. Many returning students take the 250 class again and again, for just this reason.

Your credentials from the 250 Defensive Pistol class are prerequisites for many of the other Gunsite class offerings. The whole of the Gunsite curriculum is yours to choose from when you have completed your “250”.

Cost: $1428

Duration: 5 days

350 Intermediate Defensive Pistol

Intermediate Defensive Pistol is a natural follow-up to what is learned in the 250 Defensive Pistol class. In 350 we review the “250” material and quickly proceed on to advanced gun-handling skills. Then we push you for faster time-on-target. You will shoot on the move and on moving target arrays, and you will greatly increase your tactical skills. You will train in more exciting simulators, both indoor and outdoor for five days and two nights.

In 350 we introduce force-on-force training. You will use non-lethal munitions to solve problems involving walking, talking, thinking “bad guys”! It’s the most realistic training offered anywhere, and we want you to have the very best!

This is a great class for recurrent training, to polish skills that have eroded since your last class.

Cost: $1648

Duration: 5 days

Prerequisite: 250 Defensive Pistol

Ammunition: 1,000 rounds of training ammo, 200 rounds of frangible for simulators

499 Advanced Defensive Pistol

While it is true that there are no “advanced” gunfights, we want you to be as prepared as possible when you are faced with a deadly threat. Advanced Defensive Pistol students are already very good shooters. At this level of skill, even minute improvements in your technique will lead to major performance improvements. You will have five full days of challenges and two evening sessions.

In 499, you’ll be trained to a very high standard of excellence. You’ll learn one-handed manipulations and malfunction clearances. You’ll learn how to get on target faster than you ever believed possible. Tactical problems will increase exponentially in complexity. In this advanced course, you’ll have more simulators with much more emphasis on Force on Force.

Increasing existing skill levels, acquiring new skills, less time, more targets, a faster pace, more force-on-force, more low-light exercises, higher standards of proficiency, and more instructors make "499" a very rewarding experience.

Cost: $1793

Duration: 5 days

Prerequisite: 350 or expert rating in “250” within previous year.

Ammunition: 1,100 rounds of training ammo, 250 rounds of frangible for simulators

AT Advanced Tactical Pistol Problems

As 250 is the cornerstone of what we offer, AT is the keystone of our pistol courses. It is an intense three-day laboratory environment for shooters who have completed 499. This class, you’ll spend only a few hours on the “square range” tuning up. Your time will be spent out on the ranch in simulators. You will be working with extremely complex tactical problems. You will be tutored by our experienced and dynamic professional instructors. The emphasis is not on marksmanship – you already have that. We want you to think through tactical problems and react to changing scenarios with speed and accuracy. Most of your simulators will be force-on- force exercises. You will be put into situations with hard-eyed aggressors who are alert to any sign of weakness you display. You will be expected to perform far past what you consider to be your own potential!

Cost: $1077

Duration: 3 days

Prerequisite: 499 or Expert Rating 350

Ammunition: 950 rounds of training ammo, 250 rounds of frangible for simulators

Close Quarters Pistol

Designed for individuals who carry concealed weapons, this 5-day CQP class teaches students how to be ready for close-quarter encounters in low-light conditions. Students will learn how to correctly respond to close encounter threats, car-jacking, experience force-on-force scenarios utilizing Glock 17s, and low-light night shooting. Instructors will address new and/or try different responses to threats a student may have experienced, provided they fall within Gunsite safety regulations. A part of the class will be an open forum at the end of the day, where problems, methods and any other concern about carrying concealed will be discussed. A blue gun for the particular weapon you carry will be used in the practice phases of some of the drills. ALL WEAPONS MUST BE CARRIED IN A GUNSITE-APPROVED HOLSTER. There is no specific weapon system or caliber required ( semi-auto or revolver), as long as it is the weapon you regularly carry concealed, and are confident with it's performance. For more information, contact the Gunsite Operations Manager.

Cost: $1648

Duration: 5 days

Prerequisite: “250”

Ammunition: 1000 rounds of training ammo

Concealed Carry Weapons (CCW)
