260 Defensive Shotgun
This five-day course will give you command of
one of the least-understood weapons systems available. The shotgun
can act as a breaching device, a gas-delivery system or an effective
fight-stopper, out to and beyond 100 yards. The shotgun’s
flexibility demands a special set of manipulation skills, making
it a “thinking person’s” weapons system.
In
“260” you will learn the marksmanship and manipulations
that will help you to master this potent arm. You’ll learn
ammunition selection, continuity of fire, malfunction clearances
and transitions to the handgun. You’ll have plenty of indoor
and outdoor simulators where targets range from 5 to 120 yards.
The shotgun is a demanding weapons system, but it is extremely effective.
If you intend to defend your loved ones, your home or your duty
partner with the shotgun, then our “260” class will
give you all the skills you need.
Cost: $1386
Duration: 5 days
Prerequisite: None
Ammunition:
400 rounds 00 buckshot - 200 rounds birdshot – 150 rounds
slugs – 50 rounds pistol
SATP Shotgun Advanced Tactical Problems
“SATP” is a “finishing school”
for shot gunners. In this demanding three-day course, you will be
taught to deliver maximum hits to the target in the minimum amount
of time. A great deal of this course is off the square range and in the simulators, where you’ll work in increasingly complex
tactical problems in indoor and outdoor formats. A good deal of
force-on-force scenarios will be presented wherein you will be forced
to make split-second decisions in dealing with real aggressors using
non-lethal munitions.
If
you have taken “260”, but want to attain the highest
level of preparation with the shotgun, then “SATP” will
give you authoritative command of the shotgun.
Cost: $1045
Duration: 3 days
Prerequisite: None
Ammunition:
400 rounds 00 buckshot - 200 rounds slugs – 150 rounds pistol
–
50 rounds of pistol frangible for simulators
Wingshooting
Intended
for hunters, this shotgun class will help you hone your skills,
regardless of the birds you’re after or the experience you’ve
had. In this two-day class, you’ll learn about the most important
elements of successful birdshooting, and how to make them work for
you. We’ll show you how to adjust your swing and eye for the
type of terrain and hunt you’ll be on. We’ll review
different types of flight patterns, and what you can do to match
them.
We’ll analyze your
shooting style, and recommend ways to capitalize on your strengths.
You’ll leave with an improved style, exercises to use at home
and on the range, and tips on how to prepare for your hunting season.
