NRA Board of Director Endorsements

Benefactor Member (Member since 1962, Life Member since 1984). Buz Mills, a USMC Veteran, was nominated to the Board of Directors of the NRA by the Nominating Committee in 2008 and has served on the Board  since 2009.  Buz serves on the Finance Committee, NRA Foundation, Investment Oversight Committee for the Foundation, Industry Task Force and the Committee on Advancement.  Buz is President of Gunsite Academy, Inc., world’s oldest, largest privately owned firearms training facility, training USMC/Special Operations personnel deploying to Middle East, law enforcement, civilians. He is a major contributor to the NRA-ILA, NRA Foundation,  member NRA Heritage Society; Charter Member, Ring of Freedom Harlon Carter Society and his local Yavapai Friends of NRA.   As the owner and President of Gunsite Academy Buz has recruited thousands of  new NRA members.  Buz is a lifetime hunter, gun collector and competitive shooter (IPSC national competitor).  Buz is a political activist/lobbyist, supporting local, state and  national pro-2Ammendment candidates. He is a major supporter of regional and national industry shooting events, youth groups, scouting, and the Olympic shooter development fund. Buz is a FFL/NFA manufacturer,  Commercial pilot, (instrument, turbine, fixed and rotary wing, 6000 hours) and a pilot for the  Sheriff’s Air Group SAR unit. Buz testified before Congress in favor of arming pilots. As an entrepreneur for 35 years he has created thousands of jobs in the communications industry. Buz’s Granddaughter was the youngest life member of the NRA at the meetings in Kansas City in 2001.

 

Joe DeBergalis is a career law enforcement professional fighting for gun rights in New York as Vice-President of the New York State Rifle & Pistol Association. He’s also a competitive shooter in pistol, rifle, and shotgun sports, as well as a certified instructor.

David G. Coy was Nominated by Nominating Committee and petition. Member NRA Board 1998-2001. Currently serves on Finance Committee. Served on Audit, Shotgun and Range Development Committees. NRA Endowment member, endorsed by Michigan R&PA. A leader in the successful enactment of shall-issue law in Michigan. Organized pro-gun protest against Sarah Brady’s appearance in Michigan. Debated prominent antigunners at University of Michigan forum. NRA Election Volunteer Coordinator. Treasurer for Lenawee Friends of NRA, Michigan’s #1 event. Member, NRA’s Heritage Society. Currently Vice Chair, NRA, s National Estate Planners Network. An active NRA Instructor, his column, Legislatively Speaking, appears monthly in ATA’s journal, Trap and Field. FFL holder. Fully tenured Professor, actively teaching accounting at Adrian College. Retired Chief Financial Officer from major health care organization.
