370 Intermediate Rifle
“The rifle 370 will be to the 270 what the pistol 350 is to the 250.
You will shoot farther and faster than you did in 270. We will stress understanding of your particular optics whether they be traditional duplex reticles, compensatiing reticles, or CDS/BDC type adjustments. Shooters will have a firm understanding of the principle of MOA or Mils as appropriate for their optics.
Ther will be more advanced exercises on moving targets as well as more field courses to push the skill level. Targets will be engaged at distances that are farther but still ethical in hunting conditions. Field positions will be practiced extensively so that the shooter can assume them comfortably in shorter times. Transition to the pistol or revolver will be incorporated into the field exercises.
This class has a physical difficulty level of moderate to high. Students should be capable of getting into and out of kneeling, sitting and prone positions numerous times each day. There will be a fair amount of cross country walking. 270 is an absolute prerequisite as the skills in this class are based on prior knowledge learned in that class.
