The Craft of the Lever Gun
Gunsite Academy will be conducting a three-day training symposium on the lever action rifle during April 10-12,, 2018. This event has been specifically tailored for the media, and will encompass lever-action weapon craft and the terminal performance of lever-action compatible cartridges.
Not only are lever action rifles the most iconic rifles in America; they’re also overlooked and underappreciated as general-purpose rifles. Jeff Cooper considered them excellent arms, offering extreme lightness, ease of maintenance, and plenty of power for most four footed game or man.
This three-day event is open to a limited number of sponsored—shooting—members of the media, and it will also be attended by Gunsite Academy trained—non-industry—shooters with lever gun experience. Time will be allotted for interviews with instructors and participants, photography, and videography. Sponsoring—non-shooting—manufacturer representatives are also welcome to attend.
Tuition is free for members of the media and attendance is free for manufacturer representatives. For more information or registration, call or visit the Gunsite Academy website: (928) 636-4565 / www.gunsite.com
