Gunsite Academy, Inc. requires applicants to supply certain documentation prior to participation in training. Acceptance of credential documents is at the sole discretion of Gunsite. Applicant verifies that all credential documentation is true and correct.
Gunsite reserves the right to deny training to anyone for any reason. If an application is not accepted, all deposits will be promptly refunded in full.
FIRST TIME STUDENTS: Each first-time prospective applicant must provide the following credential documentation via E-mail or US Mail (no later than seven (7) days prior to class) to attend a Gunsite course.
CURRENT ACTIVE DUTY, RESERVE, MIL/LE (provide both forms of documentation):
- Copy of US Driver’s License or Passport
- ID card or evidence of Current, Active Duty, Reserve, MIL/LE
CIVILIAN OR RETIRED MIL/LE (provide both forms of documentation):
- Copy of US Driver’s License or Passport
- Any one of the following
- Current Concealed Weapons Permit/License
- Trusted Traveler Program Approval/Card (Global Entry, NEXUS, SENTRI, TSA PreCheck)
- Receipt of Gun Purchase (within the past year)
- Statement of NO Criminal History from a Law Enforcement Agency

RETURNING STUDENTS: Updated credentials must be provided to Gunsite every year (the criteria are the same as above).
