The Villages, FL Seasoned Citizen 150 Basic Pistol
This is the Gunsite Experience for those of us who have been around and have the aches and pains to prove it.
The course covers all points of the Gunsite doctrine on marksmanship, gun handling and mindset without all the ups and downs of a regular class. You will stay upright throughout as there will be no kneeling or prone positions. The school drills will have a little extra time allotted to compensate for all the hard miles we’ve racked up over the years.
It’s an excellent opportunity for you to understand the Gunsite experience and what it can do for you. Certified training can provide a firewall of protection against civil lawsuits for negligence and lack of qualified training. The course will cover the Modern Technique, speed reloads vs. tactical reloads, weapon malfunctions, pivots and turns, barricades and tactical guidelines.
If you’ve been to Gunsite, this course is a great refresher. This 3-day class is not a substitute for the 5-day 250 pistol class. Many of the field exercises of the full class are not attempted due to the compressed time schedule and lack of simulators.
This class does NOT qualify as a Prerequisite for other classes. However, it does qualify you for Pistol Range Days and the GUNSITE ALUMNI SHOOT .
I took Rifle 270 years ago. I did not do particularly well, but I discovered what I needed to change on my rifle and scope, as well as what I needed to practice. After that I had very successful hunts in Africa, Canada, Alaska and Mexico.
