Tactical Vehicle Defense

This 3 day intensive vehicle defense course is designed to develop safe, efficient, and performance oriented gunfighting skills in and around vehicles. Students’ progress from baseline flat range diagnostics and dry work using inert training guns to full live fire vehicle engagements from inside, around, and through vehicles. Emphasis is placed on vehicle specific tactics, confined space gun handling, occupant extraction concepts, threat discrimination, communication, positional shooting, and ballistic considerations around vehicles.

The course combines performance pistol standards with realistic vehicle defense problems utilizing stationary and moving vehicles, paper and steel targets, problem solving concepts, and progressive live fire evolutions.

Physical difficulty level: Intermediate (This is a very active course; the student should be prepared for significant physical activity.)

Training Goals

By the end of the course students will be able to:

Safely deploy a pistol from inside and around vehicles
Understand ballistic effects involving glass, pillars, doors, and vehicle structure
Efficiently engage threats from seated and unconventional positions
Exit vehicles safely under threat conditions
Use vehicle structure for ballistic protection and concealment
Engage targets through passenger windows and across vehicle interiors
Conduct one handed manipulations in confined spaces
Maintain muzzle discipline inside occupied vehicles
Perform vehicle based reloads and malfunction clearances
Utilize verbal communication and threat processing under stress
Apply performance standards while operating in and around vehicles

A deposit of 1/3 (tuition only) is due within 10 days of applying. All remaining balances are due on or before 14 days prior to the first day of class.

Cancellation Policy:
If you cancel a reservation more than 14 days prior to start of class, your deposit is fully refundable or transferable to another class of your choice. If you cancel less than 14 days before your class, One-third (1/3) of your class tuition is non-transferable and non-refundable. Any amount over this 1/3 is fully transferable or refundable (with the exception of GAS) if you cannot make the class for any reason. All GAS reservations cancelled less than 30 days prior are non-transferable and non-refundable.
