Vets 223 Carbine
Gunsite is proud to once again offer a free Veteran’s Carbine class to veterans of the current wars (1998 – Present), who have deployed overseas. As the owner of Gunsite is a USMC Veteran and many of our staff are veterans, we have great appreciation for veterans of all wars. However, our budget can only allow this opportunity for those who have served overseas of the recent wars.
This class is the Modern Technique, as applied to the carbine. Learn to manage your environment from arm’s length to 200 yards. The course covers all the important aspects of marksmanship, gun handling and mindset. Shoot from a variety of positions and learn how to use them to conform to available cover in our outdoor simulators including the famous Gunsite Scrambler. Outdoor simulators will challenge your ability to locate and put accurate fire on targets at unknown distances.
In addition to the range drills, school drills, carbine “El Presidente” and simulators, you will shoot on the move, learn to get off the line of attack, transition from carbine to pistol and shoot in low light/no light conditions.
Veterans may enroll for one (1) of the two (2) courses. If you have completed one (1) Vets class in a previous year, you may now apply for the other course.

I took Rifle 270 years ago. I did not do particularly well, but I discovered what I needed to change on my rifle and scope, as well as what I needed to practice. After that I had very successful hunts in Africa, Canada, Alaska and Mexico.
