We have lost four of our Gunsite Family members, Joy and Mike Hughes and Lisa and Jim Parrish. It was a tragic accident on Friday October 4th and we are filled with sadness. Mike was a Rangemaster and taught at Gunsite since 1991. Joy was a dear and beloved friend to everyone. Lisa and Jim Parrish had just completed their 16th class.
We know that God calls us to action and we want to make a difference in our world.
Help us in this hour O God, to gain insight and inspiration to follow our Savior as he heads us into discovering who our neighbors are and how we can best serve them.
For just as the body is one and has many members, and all the members of the body, though many, are one in body, so it is with Christ.
We come together today as different parts of the one body of Christ, each one of us with unique needs and gifts.
If one member suffers, all suffer together with it; if one member is honored, all rejoice with it.
We come suffering in sadness and loss.
Be with us in this time O God.
Unite us of our love of each other and of you.
Here we may find laughter and fellowship that chases dark clouds away, and quiet prayers that lead all to still waters and green pastures.
Welcome to this Holy place.
Here may all find friends with a tender embrace and hear words that heal brokenness and grace.
Welcome home. God has been expecting you.
The fire is lit and the door is open to all.
May all be transformed, renewed, and given hope.
All are welcome, and all means all.
