Seasoned Citizen – 260 Defensive Shotgun
260 is The Modern Technique as applied to the defensive shotgun. This course covers all points of Gunsite doctrine on marksmanship, gun handling and mindset without all the ups and down of a regular class. You will stay upright throughout as there is no kneeling or prone positions. The school drills have a little extra time allotted to compensate for all the hard miles we’ve racked up over the years.
In your 260 you develop the marksmanship and manipulation skills that will make you the master of this potent firearm. Your ability to make ammunition selection, continuity of fire and malfunction clearances will keep you in the fight. The defensive shotgun is a demanding weapon system, but extremely effective. In the home, on the road, or on duty, the Gunsite 260 defensive shotgun experience will provide you with the unique skills to be highly effective with this versatile tool.
At the end of the class, you will understand and be in command of one of the least-understood but most prolific weapons systems available. Effective out to and beyond 100 yards, the defensive shotgun’s flexibility and versatility demands a special set of manipulation skills, making it a “thinking person’s” weapon system.
This class does NOT qualify as a Prerequisite for other classes. However, it does qualify you for Shotgun Range Day.
