FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE
PAULDEN, AZ – October 12, 2022 – Gunsite Academy, the world’s oldest and largest premiere firearms training school is proud to announce the addition of two new certified instructors to their staff. Matt Avenatti of Newton, New Jersey and Matthew Eagleston of Woodbury, Ct have earned their certifications as staff firearms instructor at Gunsite Academy.
Becoming a recognized Gunsite Academy instructor is no easy task. Requiring hundreds of hours of training and attending numerous classes at Gunsite Academy, the candidate must then be recommended by a certified Gunsite Range Master. Once recommended, the candidate goes through intensive training, working with numerous Gunsite Rangemasters and Gunsite Coaches who oversee that the Gunsite standards of doctrine, presentation and technique are met.
“With Gunsite being the oldest & longest running civilian firearms training facility in world, it was my goal to be a part of this esteemed organization”, said Eagleston. “It’s an honor to be included in this cadre of instructors.”
Added Avenatti. “To be a Gunsite Instructor is to be among fellow Instructors who have vast amounts of experience & knowledge and who willingly share those assets with others. There are a few places where this amount of knowledge accumulates from such varied backgrounds, and I am humbled and blessed to be a part of it.”
“Gunsite is not a club, nor membership driven. Our Instructors must start as subject matter experts and be able to impart that knowledge and wisdom to people from all walks of life and experience levels. We are proud to add Matt and Matt to our staff” said Gunsite CEO Sheriff Ken Campbell (Ret.).
