A lifelong New Mexico resident, Verlin changed his calling in life after his first class at Gunsite in 2008. Since that time he was selected to the NM District Courts as a Trial Bailiff, assisting in hundreds of trials and is still active in that roll.
In 2010 at 56 years of age, joined the San Juan County Sheriff`s Office as a Patrol Deputy. While there, he was selected as a Firearms, Defensive Tactics, and Use of Force Simulator Instructor. Retired in 2020.
A life long practitioner of Korean Karate and has a school in Farmington NM where he has coached thousands of students over the years.
Gunsite Instructor since 2018, he enjoys helping shooters improve their skills and Mindset.
