Spring is beginning to spring. We have even seen a few reptiles out already. Web traffic is up, FB traffic is up, phone inquiries are up, registrations are up, family participation is up and independent women participation is definitely up.
2013 is off to an incredible start. We are optimistic about our entire industry. We are fearful for our country, but cautiously optimistic about the posture of our countrymen.
This month on the 23rd, 238 years ago in St Johns Church, Richmond, VA, my good friend and fellow traveler, Patrick Henry made his historic presentation. Henry presented a proposal to organize a volunteer company of cavalry or infantry in every Virginia County. By custom, Henry addressed himself to the Convention’s president, Peyton Randolph of Williamsburg. Henry’s words were not transcribed, but no one who heard them forgot their eloquence, or Henry’s closing words: “Give me liberty, or give me death!” Sage advice in similar times.
I mentioned we are getting busy again so here is a quick recap of openings in the next couple of months. March is working at max capacity in the carbine and pistol classes, except for the Pistol AT class which has a couple of openings for the 27th thru the 29th. Call Dave today to get in here, perfect training weather for this challenging regimen.
Looking a bit farther out, we have plenty of room in the April 29th 250 class so grab the phone and call Karen , openings will go quickly with this letter out. We have room for one more couple in the Team Tactics class April 29th as well, so get hot on this. This is the class requested for years for couples to learn to work together in a defensive situation. This class is a tremendous success and limited to 6 couples.
Our spring shotgun classes are full, we want to do some more of these like our colorful, brilliant, charming vice president advises. So ring up our folks and tell them you are taking the Vice Presidents advice on the best home defense weapon and the dates you want the class.
The 270 General Rifle Class , the Ladies Pistol and the Intermediate Carbine classes in April have a few openings. The Precision Rifle Urban and the Extreme Long Range Rifle have a few openings as well.

March 2013 finds America in a politically inflamed environment. The Government is threatening more laws, more bans and restrictions and at the same time they are buying all the ammunition. Requiring 99% who are law abiding to jump through hoops in order to try and keep the 1% who are dangerous from acquiring firearms has always been a losing proposition. It has always been a path meant to end with registration so as to enable confiscation.
Regardless of what happens with their background checks or their bans and restrictions, our 2nd Ammendment Rights are strong and the NRA and other lobbying forces are working hard for our freedoms. Stay informed and let your legislators know your voice.
As usual, take a youngster out to shoot today. Teach our children well.
