October is always the hardest newsletter to write as we are so busy at the end of September getting ready for the GAS match, the 250 and 350 pistol classes that happen the week before the match and the Defensive 3 Gun and Team Tactics for Two classes the week after the GAS Match.
After an enormous amount of rain and desert flooding, the barn rats are busy putting the dozier pits and ranges back together. You will notice the shotquad has been rebuilt, and is even more fun. We are busy putting the finishing touches on the Gunsite Alumni Shoot stages . They are extremely challenging and you will learn something at every stage.

I would hope that by training at Gunsite, all of our family members take the “responsible” part of “responsible gun ownership very seriously. Whether you carry concealed or open, remember the consequences of your actions affect us all.
Classes around the match include
250 classes are held the week of the match to give new shooters the opportunity to attend GAS and many returning students the chance to “tune up” in the 350.
Right after GAS we offer the ever popular Team Tactics for Two and a brand new class, Defensive 3 Gun. Both of these classes are full but are on the schedule for 2014.
October also offers opportunity for Battle Rifle- all you .30 caliber platform shooters, this class is designed for you!
If you live in the Midwest, the Indiana 3 day carbine class has openings and the Tennessee 499.
Our late October 250 is full as is the Ladies 150 but we have room in our 3 day shotgun class, followed by the 2 day shotgun advanced tactical problems. Come train on one of the best home defense weapons systems of all time.
At the end of this month moving into November, we are offering our Long Range Rifle followed by Extreme Long Range Rifle. For all you precision rifle shooters, these are the classes that will enable you to get those hits out to 1,000 and 2,000 yard respectively.
There are openings in our November and December 250 classes and our rifle classes.
Remember those signing up for 2014 classes prior to January will receive 2013 pricing, even if you use the interest free tuition financing.
Today begins our 15th year of Gunsite operation. We look forward to another 15 years. You folks are what make all this possible and I and the staff are humbled by your loyalty. Enjoy your October, culminating in Halloween. Then it is on to the celebrations at the end of the year.

Be sure to take a youngster out to shoot several times this fall. The weather is beautiful and you will get a real kick out of it as will the youngster. We just had a solid 14 year old complete the 250 class with her dad. With the proper leadership and training we can take our country back.
