Planning for this GAS match began two (2) years ago and hard to believe we are this close. Just a couple more GAS Staff meetings to confirm all is in place. The one hundred (100) staff and volunteers are lined up. Training Director Dave Hartman has untold number of hours coordinating this side of the GAS Match and helps it run smoothly. Are you enrolled yet? There are more guns on the prize table or side matches than ever before. Prizes for the prize table continue to be delivered. We believe Gun Stories will be out filming for GAS this year as well and we hope to see Gunsite Family Member Joe Mantenga in attendance. Rumor is that long-time Gunsite Rangemasters Hershel Davis, Ed Stock, and John Bowman may be attending, health permitting. If so, just know that Hershel, Ed nor John ever let the truth get in the way of a good story.
Have you seen the list of 50th Anniversary merchandise and guns in the Pro Shop. The First Tactical Jackets are very popular. Once this year is over, so will that logo on the merchandise. The GAS Memorabilia and other auction items continues to grow. If you are a “GSP” collector, the prototype Glock Model 45 GGSP will be in the auction with a letter of providence. A rifle on the side match will be a 50th Anniversary Steyr Scout (SN: 47 in honor of DJT!) donated by Kim’s Martial Arts Combatives. Let’s see if you can hit the Tannerite and get your name in the hat!

Friend and Gunsite Family Member Andy Stanford is curating the display cases in Classroom 1, Classroom 2 and the Wiley Clapp Memorial Classroom. Please be sure to stop in and take a look at the hard work he is doing on the cabinets. They should be completed by GAS Match.
Once we get through GAS 2026, attentions shift to the 1st Annual Scout Rifle World Championship on October 31, 2026. Gun Scribe and Gunsite Family Member Richard Mann teamed up with industry stalwart and Gunsite Family Member Linda Powell to coordinate this event. The Pat Rogers Memorial Revolver Round Up follows shortly thereafter. Due to requests, the event is now a two (2) day event and earlier in November 14-15, 2026. The 2027 Gunsite Training Calendar is now current and live! Remember that if you enroll in 2026 for a class in 2027, you do not pay the tuition increase.
